Queen Victoria of England (1837-1901) influenced what became known as the Victorian Period. The selections for room decoration might include frieze ornaments, dado-rails, geometrically arrangements, ceiling pattern, wall pattern, borders and corners. Designs were influenced by various historical ornament including the Arabian, Chinese, Gothic, Medieval style, flowers, grotesque elements. Rich vivid colors as well as powderings were adapted for the ornament application.
