Reading the written journals of Michelangelo and relying on Tiepolo. Baroque Master of illusion, for inspiration began the project on September 1996. Suspended 20 feet above floor level on custom designed scaffolding the mural was successfully brought to completion on December 15, 1996, requiring a total of 410 hours of intense painting.
The Richard Driehaus mural, inspired by Tiepolo the Baroque Master of the 1700’s, was painted directly on the entry foyer turret ceiling of the Cable House, located at 25 East Erie, Chicago.
